Who Can Apply for Grants?
The Charity awards grants in four categories:
- Almshouses, hospices and residential homes for older people.
- Organisations for the benefit of children/young people.
- Organisations supporting older people.
- Individual widows, spinsters, divorced ladies, single mothers and fatherless children, who meet certain criteria set-out by the Charity.
Area of Benefit
The Charity’s area of benefit is the City of Birmingham and West Midland counties not extending 60 miles (or 96.56 kilometres) from Birmingham Town Hall.

If you have any questions regarding applications, the Administrator is always happy to discuss queries by telephone or email.
All grant applications are acknowledged promptly and all applicants are notified of the outcome of their request for funding. The level of grant awarded is entirely at the discretion of the Trustees.
Applications are considered twice-yearly and distributions are made at the end of May/beginning of June (Spring) and at the end of November/beginning of December (Autumn). Applications for the Spring distribution should be received no later than 15 March and for the Autumn no later than 15 September.
We ask that no more than one application be made in each twelve months ie if you are awarded a grant at the Autumn distribution, you should not make a further application until Autumn the following year – being sure to get your letter to us by 15 September.

Bereavement Advice Centre is a free helpline and web-based information service provided by Simplify. We give practical information and advice and signposting on the many issues and procedures that face us after the death of someone close.
Best Foot Forward
Best Foot Forward offers a selection of weekly walks within the Wyre Forest District. Best Foot Forward is accredited by Walking for Health and aims to increase physical activity throughout the district.The walks are easy country and town walks designed to improve health, meet new people and become part of a social group with similar intentions. All you need to do is turn up with suitable clothing to match the days weather conditions. Each walk lasts between 60 - 75 minutes.The distance covered could be anywhere between 1.5 miles to 3.5 miles.
